In this article, we are going to learn about the authors of the literary works in the Palestinian curriculum, which is expected to be an integral part of the upcoming employment exam.

Let’s start with grade 10; the literary work is (Around the World in Eighty Days); Novel by Jules Verne.

About the author:
Jules Gabriel Verne was a French novelist, poet, and playwright.

Some of his prominent literary works:

Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864),
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas (1870),
Around the World in Eighty Days (1872).

Grade 11; the literary work is (The Adventure of the Norwood Builder); the second of the 56 short Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and was published in 1903.

About the author:
Arthur Conan Doyle was a British writer and physician.
He created the character, Sherlock Holmes, in 1887 for A Study in Scarlet.

Some of his prominent literary works:

The Adventures of Gerard,
The Return of Sherlock Holmes,
Round the Fire Stories,
The Last Galley His Last Bow,
Three of Them,
The Lost World,
The White Company,
The Great Shadow,
A Study in Scarlet,

Grade 12; the literary work is (Romeo and Juliet); is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career and was published in 1597.

About the author:
William Shakespeare was born in 1564 and died in 1616.

Most of Shakespeare’s plays are written in (blank verse).
